DESIGN PROCESS
BEHIND THE SCENES
Have you ever wondered who’s behind the design of your favourite clothing from Klitmøller Collective?
Meet Robert Sand and Mia Enslev – the creative forces behind our unique collections.
Robert Sand, founder of Klitmøller Collective, was born and raised in the beautiful fishing village of Klitmøller. With deep roots in a family closely connected to the sea for generations, his heritage is reflected in every piece of clothing we produce. Robert is involved in the entire design process from start to finish, ensuring that our story and values are woven into every thread and stitch. It’s one of the core principles of Klitmøller Collective – our guiding compass.
At Robert’s side is Mia Enslev, our talented Head of Design and Production. Mia is the driving force behind the development of our products, and it’s her vision that brings our styles to life. If you love our latest collection – like the Jimmy overshirt, the lovely Estelle jumper, or our beautiful new colour palettes – you have Mia to thank for that!
Robert and Mia work together in our office, which is directly connected to our warehouse. Here, they have immediate access to current collections and the latest samples. Around them lie fabric swatches, colour cards, and sketches – small pieces that slowly come together to form future collections. Many of the ideas you’ll later see on the shelves are born in this inspiring space, long before production begins.
Input from customers, suppliers, and team members is considered and discussed – in the office, on walks, and out on the blue waves – before becoming something you can wear or bring into your home.
At Klitmøller Collective, it's about creating clothing that not only looks good but also tells a story about our Nordic roots, with care for people and the environment, and a deep love for the craftsmanship that goes into every piece.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this little glimpse behind the scenes.
Warm regards,
Klitmøller Collective
